Quito City Tour – Middle of the World – Old Town
Enjoy the wonders of Quito and visit the famous Middle of the World monument, known as Mitad del Mundo. You will be accompanied by a bilingual certified guide and have private transportation from and to your hotel.

Your guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Quito to start your sightseeing tour of Quito. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city by heading the Panecillo Hill, the perfect place to take beautiful pictures of the city. Explore Quito’s Old Town and get to know the Basilica Church, walking through the colonial streets we’ll visit the Independence Plaza admiring the Cathedral, the Government’s Palace and Ronda Street. You will also visit La Compania Church, the Sagrario Church and the San Francisco Church, which was built during the 17th century in Quito.
After lunch, you will head to the Middle of the World monument, where you can stand right in the middle of the equatorial line and straddle the two hemispheres. In addition, you will have a chance to participate in several experiments at the Intiñan Museum such as watching the water go down a drain in a different direction (only inches away from either side of the equator), or balancing an egg on a nail, or using an ancient sundial and much more. At this place complex, you will also be able to visit a fascinating ethnographical museum which gives a great overview of the different cultures of this small country and how many are found in its capital Quito. Enjoy the landscape in Pululahua, an inhabited crater near the Equatorial line in the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve.
